Matt Willey is a graphic designer living in Brooklyn, New York.
In 2020 he joined the New York office of Pentagram as a partner.

Previously he was the art director of The New York Times Magazine. (2015—2020)

In 2014 Matt was named 'Designer of the Year' by Creative Review, and was elected as a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) in 2015.

In 2021 he launched the literary magazine, INQUE, with collaborator and editor Dan Crowe. 


Typefaces for charity.

Seven of Matt’s  typefaces are available through the BuyFontsSaveLives initiative, with all profits going to Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
